STUDIO SOFTWARE SALES CALL
Questions to ask on a studio software sales call:
so your quote matches the weekday desk
On a studio software sales call, your job is to make the quote match the weekday desk. Ask for all-in monthly cost, contract length, payment-processing rates, SMS or messaging limits, data export rights, migration support, waitlist and late-cancel behavior, and what happens when you leave. Get answers in writing. Independent yoga and Pilates owners who want schedule, waitlists, memberships, Stripe payments, and owner-reviewed follow-up in one place can Join the waitlist for Slynq founding access.
Join the waitlistBEFORE THE CALL
What you should
already know.
Class vs appointment mix. Whether capacity is mats, reformers, or both. Membership vs pack mix. Who answers member texts today.
Bring that to the call so the demo is not a generic tour.
MONEY AND CONTRACT
Get the all-in number
in writing.
Base subscription vs add-ons. Payment processing rates if you use their payments. SMS or email limits and overage. Branded app, if offered. Implementation or onboarding fees. Auto-renew. How much notice they give before a price increase. What you pay if you leave.
Vague "it depends" on fees is not an answer. Ask them to put the line items on the quote.
OPS FIT
Ask how the weekday desk
actually behaves.
- Waitlist promote rules when a spot opens.
- Late-cancel fee enforcement.
- Capacity you can see and trust.
- Packs and memberships in the same member record.
- Reporting an owner can read without a specialist.
Ask how waitlists, packs, and late-cancel fees behave on a busy weekday, not only on the feature slide.
DATA, EXPORT, MIGRATION
Know the exit
before you sign.
What you can export: clients, attendance, packs, waivers. CSV vs an API. Who owns the data. Whether a parallel-run is possible.
If they cannot describe the export path in writing, the call is incomplete.
SUPPORT AFTER MONTH THREE
Who you talk to when
the onboarding person is gone.
Training included. Whether you get a sandbox.
Slynq demos are not available yet. Founding access opens in waves. That is the honest line if they ask what Slynq shows today.
RED FLAGS
Walk if the quote
stays foggy.
- Fees that will not go on paper.
- No written export path.
- A hard sell on multi-location features you will not use.
AFTER THE CALL
Compare quotes
on one sheet.
Use the same columns: base, add-ons, processing, messaging, onboarding, term, exit.

Canon only.
Slynq is studio management software with an agentic front desk for independent studios. Pricing is shared before a studio decides to start a paid plan. Joining the waitlist is free and does not start a paid plan. Demos are not available yet. Founding access opens in waves. Sample workflows and data on the site are illustrative, not customer results.
